New Artists

Welcome to the Sankofa New Artists Page. We pride ourselves on the people we work with Below you’ll find information on new artists we’ve work with recently and a little information about them.

Jeannie Saracino, a North Carolina native, is about to begin her final year at The Theatre School at DePaul University. She will graduate with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Italian. This Is Our Youth will be her first performance on the Chicago stage. Recent Theatre School credits include The Ernie Play (directed by Shade Murray), The Lonely Soldier (directed by Tara Mallen) and The Skriker(directed by Jess Jung). This summer, she studied the Roy Hart voice technique in Malerargues, France and hopes to return there for more training next summer.

Michael Olavson grew up in Santa Cruz, California, and makes his post-college Chicago stage debut with This Is Our Youth. He recently  finished shooting the DePaul Bluelight feature, Sweet 16 directed by JoAnne Zielisnki.  He holds a B.F.A. from The Theatre School at DePaul University.  Big love and gratitude to my beautiful family.

 

 

 

 

Micah Antoine Pushia is originally from Houston, TX. He graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and moved to Chicago in 2009 to attend Roosevelt University Theatre Conservatory (Chicago College for Performing Arts) as an acting major. In the middle of his sophomore year he left school to take on life in the Windy City and has since been working, modeling, and doing theatre throughout the city
